So apparently Applebee's is not too breastfeeding-friendly. They asked a woman to cover up while she was nursing, and they persisted even when informed of the law protecting public breastfeeding (which they were breaking by asking her to put a blanket over the baby). As a result of this there will be a Nurse-Out on Saturday, September 8, 2007 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at 4009 Nicholasville Road (in front of Applebee's) in Lexington. Bring the family, make signs and educate the public! There's also a Nurse-In in the Fayette Mall children's play area on September 1 from 1-3 to raise breastfeeding awareness.Thursday, August 30, 2007
